Kerry (Sweezey) Albano, 43, of Virginia Beach, passed Feb. 26, 2014 at Virginia Beach General Hospital. She was born Jan. 19, 1971 in New Britain daughter of Gary and Donna (Surette) Sweezey of Southington. She was currently employed at Bank of America. Kerry graduated from Southington High School in 1989 where she was a captain of the swim team. She attended Boston University and the University of South Carolina. She loved spending time with her son Jack, taking him to the beach and karate. She loved reading, yoga and being with family and friends. In addition to her parents, she leaves her beloved son Jack Albano of Virginia Beach who was the light of her life; her sister Karen Sweezey Pliego of Plantsville and was predeceased by her brother Gary Sweezey Jr. She also leaves her former husband Matthew Albano of Virginia Beach and former in laws Martin and Mary Ann Albano of Southington, grandparents Lillian Surrette of Malden, MA, Bernice Travia of Bristol, former sister-in-law and brother-in-law Melissa and Michael Lukanic of Southington and former grandmother Sanita LaBonte of Southington, her favorite auntie Carol of Morris, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Calling hours will be held Sat., TODAY, March 1 from 6-9 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Services and burial are private and at the convenience of the family.
